I think that happened in “The Internet is Forever” (Season 5, Episode 22). If that’s it, then the situation is that Reid has just gotten a new short haircut, and the dialogue you quoted is the team members’ reactions to it. Right after that, Hotch asks Reid if he’s joined a boyband.

EDIT – I think the dialog you quoted doesn’t have it quite right. It has Gideon speaking at the end, but JJ’s son Henry wasn’t born until after Gideon left.
